The Arc Montgomery County provides a comprehensive benefits packed to its employees, as outlined below.

  • Retirement
    • All employees are eligible to participate in the agency’s Tax Sheltered Annuity plan. To be eligible for employer matching, employees must be employed for at least 6 months by The Arc Montgomery County, work 20 hours or more per week on a regular basis, and contribute a minimum of 3% of gross salary.
  • Educational Assistance
    • 75% reimbursement up to 6 credits per fiscal year for any employee who regularly works 20 hours or more per week and who is enrolled in college or other special courses related to developmental disabilities, special education or such subjects of mutual benefit to The Arc Montgomery County and the employee.
  • Banking
    • Montgomery County Teachers’ Federal Credit Union (MCTFCU) offers several banking options, including direct deposit, checking and savings accounts, lines of credit, low-interest loans and more.
  • Child Care
    • 25% discount for all full-time employees whose children participate in the agency’s day care and infant programs.
  • Vacation
    • Employees earn 10 vacation days after the first and second years of full-time employment, 15 days after the third and fourth years of full-time employment, 20 days after the fifth through ninth years of full-time employment and 22 days after ten or more years of full-time employment. (Excludes MPAC 10-month employees)
  • Sick Leave
    • 10 days per calendar year for full-time employees, 7.5 days per calendar year for part-time employees who regularly work 20 hours or more per week.
  • Personal Leave
    • 5 days per year for all part-time employees who regularly work 20-29 hours per week and have obtained regular employment status.
  • Legal Resources
    • All employees who regularly work 20 hours or more per week are eligible for this benefit, which provides a network of well-established, highly qualified local law firms to provide your legal services.
  • Holidays
    • All full-time staff except MPAC, Residential, Respite and Support Services direct line:

    • Residential, Respite and Support Services
      • No paid holidays for direct line employees. Because of the nature of these jobs, staff may be required to work on holidays. Staff members will be paid double time for working on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas Day.
    • Vocational & Day Services
      • Community-based employees who work on Thanksgiving or Christmas day will be paid double time.
