Workforce Development Administrator (Full-time)

Vocational & Day Services is looking for a motivated, energetic person to serve as a Workforce Development Administrator.  Responsibilities include networking with the business community to create job opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The Workforce Development Administrator will procure and develop contracts and oversee the start-up of new work sites.  The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, marketing and/or employment development and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus six years of relevant professional, administrative, or supervisory experience. Support Professional (Full-time)

Vocational and Day Services has vacancy for person who will be responsible for supervising work placements in the community and/or assigned jobs.  The goal is to develop and manage supported employment work and/or in-house production work.  The Support Professional’s position is designed to assist the Vocational Services participants in making job placement a success by training, supervising and supporting the participant while acting as a resource to the employer.  Applicant must have a High school diploma or GED equivalency plus five years of relevant experience (any 30 relevant credits may be substituted for one year of experience) or at least 18 years of age and six years of relevant experience (five of which must be relevant experience).  Valid MD, DC or VA driver’s license and the ability to transport program participants also required.  Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, withstand prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing.  Please contact Sarune Deltuvaite at 301-984-5777 x2220 or SaruneD@arcmontmd.org 4/29/14

Community Support Professional (Full-time)

Assistant Director of Residential Services (Full-time)

The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting, professional opportunity for a highly organized, enthusiastic individual who is able to multi-task and oversee a subdivision of the Residential Services Division.  The Assistant Director of Residential Program Services is responsible for assisting the Director of Residential Services in managing the agency’s residential services in accordance to the Developmental Disabilities Administration and Montgomery County Group Home Licensing and Guidelines.  The Assistant Director will ensure that the individuals served receive quality support services that are inclusive for all people.  In conjunction with the Residential Recruiter Scheduler, will hire, train and supervise qualified staff to include 3 Residential Team Coordinators and Residential Support Staff who will execute the support services identified in the Individual Plan (IP) for each participant served.  The Assistant Director is responsible for the management and oversight of approximately 14 homes, 40 program participants and 30 plus staff including fulltime, part-time and on-call staff. Team Coordinator (Full time)

Residential Services Division has vacancy for energetic person who will be responsible for all day to day operations of the particular homes he/she are assigned to, including, but not limited to:  staff supervision, acting as agency/community liaison, family support, and support to other supervisory agents as directed.  He/She will ensure homes are attractive, clean, safe, and that they foster an atmosphere that promotes positive growth and development.  The Team Coordinator will support individual choice as identified by the team in the Individual Plan (IP).  He/She will follow COMAR regulations, HIPPA regulations, DDA standards, legal guidelines and other regulatory standards.  The Team Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Residential Support Staff (RSS) and will serve as a role model for quality service delivery.  The Team Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out the mission of the agency as it relates to inclusion for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
