Workforce Development Administrator (Full time)

Vocational & Day Services is looking for a motivated, energetic person to serve as a Workforce Development Administrator.  Responsibilities include networking with the business community to create job opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The Workforce Development Administrator will procure and develop contracts and oversee the start-up of new work sites.  The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, marketing and/or employment development. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus six years of relevant professional, administrative, or supervisory experience. Team Coordinator (Full-time)

Vocational & Day Services (V&DS) is currently hiring for the position of Team Coordinator.  This exciting position will be responsible for developing quality, community-based work/ volunteer/recreational opportunities for people supported by V&DS.  The work/volunteer/ recreational opportunities will need to foster and promote people with IDD to connect with the community in meaningful ways.  The Team Coordinator will provide oversight of the implementation of Individual Plans and supervise staff.  This position requires cooperation with other V&DS staff, staff from Residential Services, staff from other agencies, and family members/advocates for people supported by V&DS.  The Team Coordinator also serves as the primary liaison between volunteer coordinators and community-based employers with V&DS.  The successful applicant will need to demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills as well as be highly organized.  Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or any other relevant field plus three years of relevant professional experience; or high school diploma plus seven years relevant professional experience (30 relevant credit hours may be substituted for one year experience).  Supervisory experience is a plus.  The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  A valid MD/VA/DC driver’s license is also required.  Please email an application and/or resume to Rachel Chung at RachelC@arcmontmd.org.  7/3/14

Support Professional (Full-time)

Community Support Professional (Full-time)

Medical Coordinator (Full time)

Residential Services Division is currently hiring for an exciting new position which will be responsible for the overall coordination of follow-up medical appointments for the individuals supported in the Residential Division.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in assuring that all follow-up appointments are scheduled and completed in a timely manner and all recommendations are followed as written.  He/She will not only be responsible for scheduling all follow-up appointments, but will be expected to accompany individuals to their follow-up appointments and when necessary, will coordinate staffing with the Assistant Directors and Team Coordinators to ensure attendance.  This person will also accompany individuals to routine medical appointments as needed. Team Coordinator (Full time)

Residential Services Division has vacancy for energetic person who will be responsible for all day to day operations of the particular homes he/she are assigned to, including, but not limited to:  staff supervision, acting as agency/community liaison, family support, and support to other supervisory agents as directed.  He/She will ensure homes are attractive, clean, safe, and that they foster an atmosphere that promotes positive growth and development.  The Team Coordinator will support individual choice as identified by the team in the Individual Plan (IP).  He/She will follow COMAR regulations, HIPPA regulations, DDA standards, legal guidelines and other regulatory standards.  The Team Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Residential Support Staff (RSS) and will serve as a role model for quality service delivery.  The Team Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out the mission of the agency as it relates to inclusion for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Job Coach for Transitional Youth Retail Project (Full-time)

The Arc Montgomery County’s Transitional Youth Retail Project has newly created 30 hours per week position for individual, who will directly support students in our training program and work as a liaison with our retail partners. Students are ages 18-24 with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Job duties include but are not limited to: creating and implementing work and behavioral assessments, frequent retail worksite visits/observations, one-on-one training and support, and peer/social coaching. The Job Coach will also be expected to support all aspects of the program including applicant interviews, some classroom teaching and role playing activities, training, and continued job seeking or retention support for students after the program has ended. Must be highly organized, responsible, professional, patient, flexible, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicant must have Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED equivalency plus six years of relevant experience.
