Low Intensity Support Services (LISS) is a statewide program funded through the Developmental Disability Administration (DDA). LISS is preventive in nature, creative, flexible, responsive and time-limited to assist children and adults with developmental disabilities to improve their quality of life, remain in their own homes, increase or maintain independence, and participate in their communities. LISS may be accessed multiple times throughout a year and across multiple years. It cannot exceed $3,000 in one fiscal year. Families and individuals must be specific in their requests.

  • Adaptive Equipment
  • Eviction/Utility Disconnection Assistance
  • Assistive Technology
  • Home/Auto Modification
  • Camps
  • Respite Services
  • Counseling
  • Therapeutic Services

Any Maryland resident who has a developmental disability and is not currently receiving DDA funding for full residential services is eligible for LISS.  To apply for LISS, complete the application (link below) and provide all required documentation.
