Low Intensity Support Services (LISS)
UPDATE FROM MARYLAND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADMINISTRATION ON JULY 10, 2013:
LISS is provided on a first-come, first-served basis for services/supports up to $3,000 per fiscal year, per individual, until all funding is allocated. Therefore there is no guarantee of funding even if an application is submitted.
As a statewide program, funding for LISS is allocated for each region as designated by DDA. To date, a high volume of LISS requests have been received which may commit the available funding for the current fiscal year in all but the Eastern Shore region. Therefore, applications will no longer be accepted in any region except the Eastern Shore.
Applications for the Eastern Shore region will be accepted for people who reside in the following counties only: Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester.
NO LISS APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE ARC MONTGOMERY COUNTY AFTER JULY 15, 2013!
LISS applications are accepted on a first come-first served basis in person or by mail only. No applications will be accepted by email or fax. Please click here to read very important information about LISS application procedures.

LISS may be accessed multiple times throughout a year and across multiple years. It cannot exceed $3,000 in one fiscal year. Families and individuals must be specific in their requests.
The following are some examples of LISS services and supports.
