The Arc Montgomery County supports young adults by assisting with education, housing, employment, and other life-development opportunities. Some programs require approval for funding from Maryland's Developmental Disabilities Administration.
After-school and summer program for youth ages 11-21 with disabilities
Retail skills and training for young adults with disabilities ages 18-24
Goods and services for young adults actively engaged in the transition process
Short-term relief for primary caregivers of young adults with disabilities ages 18+
In collaboration with other agencies and organizations, The Arc Montgomery County sponsors support groups, seminars, workshops and programs throughout the year on a wide variety of topics, providing opportunities for young adults and their families to come together and share information and resources. Most of these are free of charge and require only a simple registration.
