 ce\, various organizations from across the county are “shining brighter to
 gether” at a fun family-friendly event at Wheaton Regional Park!  Particip
 ate in hands-on\, sensory-friendly activities while learning more about au
 tism and the variety of resources available in Montgomery County.  Attende
 es will also have an opportunity to help paint our commUNITY Mural that wi
 ll remain at the playground long after the event is over.\n\nBring a picni
 c or purchase food from an on-site food vendor.\n\nActivities include a ch
 alk hop challenge\, parachute games\, sensory storytime\, bubbles\, arts a
 nd crafts\, and more.\n\nThis event is FREE and open to the public.\n\nJoi
 n us as we paint a larger-than-life mural at the event that represents div
 ersity\, inclusion\, and acceptance in Montgomery County. Wear clothes you
  don’t mind getting dirty.\n\nBackground of commUNITY Mural\nThe mural des
 ign was inspired by Montgomery County Elementary School students who place
 d in The Arc Maryland’s “Together We’re Better” art contest.  The art cont
 est was created to raise awareness of the value and importance of the incl
 usion of students with disabilities in schools and in the community.\n\nTh
 e final artwork was designed by Justin Valenti and transferred to the wall
  by mural artists from M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation
 . \n\nThe event will include a sign language interpreter\, a sensory retre
 at tent\, wheelchairs\, walkers\, and other adaptive equipment\, and Park 
 Police Search and Rescue Division and Mounted Units.  To request other rea
