The connections we make and relationships we build with the people we support are unique and very personal. The weight of grief in losing a person you support may feel heavy and how that loss is processed is unique to each individual. For some, it is helpful and meaningful to work with a professional in a safe and supportive environment to guide the healing process and discuss strategies to navigate their grief.

For support staff who have experienced a recent loss and would like grief support, The Arc Montgomery County is providing two opportunities to meet in a virtual group setting to work with a grief support counselor.

If you are interested in participating, please attend only one of the sessions below.

Each session will be led by Vicki Pendleton, a grief support counselor with a master’s in social work and divinity and an ordained minister. Previously, Ms. Pendleton worked with The Arc as our agency trainer. She then went on to work with the Jubilee Association of Maryland in several roles including Leadership Development Trainer/Coach, Director of Program Services, and as a grief support provider.
