Where to Connect

Assistive Technology Library

Discover Technology That Works for You

Assistive technology can make everyday activities easier, increase independence, and create new opportunities to communicate, work, connect, and have fun.

The Arc Montgomery County's Assistive Technology Library is a community resource where people with disabilities, families, caregivers, and others can explore, try, and borrow assistive technology before deciding what works best for them.

Explore What’s Possible

The library includes dozens of devices and tools supporting:

  • Communication and alternative access
  • Vision and hearing
  • Mobility
  • Memory and cognitive needs
  • Computers and digital access
  • Adaptive gaming and recreation
  • Medication management and daily living

From adaptive keyboards and assistive listening devices to low-vision tools, switches, gaming equipment, and everyday living supports, there’s plenty to discover.

Try It Before You Buy It

Not every tool works for every person. That’s why the library gives you the opportunity to try technology first.

Explore equipment, get help learning how it works, and borrow many devices for up to four weeks to see how they fit into everyday life.

Open to the Community

You do not need to receive services from The Arc Montgomery County to participate. The Assistive Technology Library is open to people of all ages and the broader community.

Come explore what technology can make possible!
