Strategic Planning

Project Summary

The Arc Montgomery County's current strategic plan is set to expire at the end of FY22.  A Request for Proposal was distributed in early FY22 and several potential vendors were interviewed.  The Center for Leadership & Innovation at UMBC was selected as the consultant to support this process.

CLI utilizes a strengths-based process and approach (detailed in graphic at left), with six distinct steps: Define, Discover, Dream, Design, Deliver, Drive.  As each step is executed, more information will be posted below.

  • DefineThe overall outline of the process was shared, an action plan was developed, and the affirmative topic was identified.

How will we boldly reimagine the way in which we connect people with their communities to support creation of the most meaningful, inclusive and fulfilling lives?
  • DiscoverA wide group of stakeholders (including people supported, their families, employees at all levels, volunteers, donors, funders, and vendors) participated in 1:1 interviews with the consultant team. Focus Groups provided stakeholders with an opportunity to share feedback based upon specific, guided questions.
