Strategic Planning
In 2022, The Arc Montgomery County embarked on a strategic planning journey in partnership with the Center for Leadership and Innovation (CLI). CLI leveraged an appreciative, inquiry-driven, and strengths-based approach that facilitated whole-system engagement through a combination of virtual and in-person experiential, collaborative, and co-creative experiences. Their inclusive strategic planning process fostered transparency, increased accountability, harnessed the power of diversity, and positioned The Arc Montgomery County for future success.
The Arc Montgomery County's Board of Directors has approved the 2023-2025 Strategic Plan which will focus on the below Opportunity Areas over the next three years.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
- External Funding Security

Add Your Voice! Share Your Ideas!
We need help implementing our new strategic plan! Over the next three years, work groups will develop and implement identified goals and objectives across six strategic areas.
We invite our stakeholders to be part of this process! Join a work group, now or later, and add your voice to the discussion. Each group will have two co-chairs and include employees at all levels of the organization, plus external stakeholders. The ideal size is 12-15 people.
Work groups will meet twice monthly, on a regularly scheduled basis, via Zoom, over 4-10 months. Each meeting will last 60-90 minutes.
Descriptions of the work groups currently forming are below. To indicate your interest in participating, please click here to email Deborah Mark, Director of Strategic Initiatives.
